Mad for Stuff Progression - 23:45 am on June 31 2006
Well, my Gadget and gift site, Mad for Stuff seems to be doing really well. It's quite a difficult site to get linked about, but the search engines seem to have really taken well to it.
If you've not already had a chance to pop in, then please check it out. Mad for Stuff features loads of cool and interesting Gadgets, gizmos and gift ideas that interest most guys and girls.
How did Mad for Stuff come about? Well, the idea was born a few months back when I was looking around the internet for cool boys toys.
Now I love boys toys, whether they be foam guns, cool gadgets or computer gizmos, I love them all... I truely find them fascinating, and very, very fun.
Anyway, I was stumbling around the internet looking for more cool toys to satisfy my inner child, when I stunbled upon a website which featured many cool techno gadgets, all of which were very expensive (far more expensive than I could afford) and not as playful (im thinking tanks, toys, and boy toys) as I was looking for.
After looking around with no avail, I had an apifiny, I yelled "Wow! Wouldn't it be cool to have a website which features the coolest gadgets, games, gizmos and boys toys on the internet?! Which are actually fun, and within my price range?!".
So I sat down trying to think of a cool name for the site which suited the kind of visitors Im hoping to please - and here it is, may I welcome you to 'Mad for Stuff'.
Google seems to have taken to Hot Tutorials very well, im getting alot of traffic from quite broad searches relating to Adobe Photoshop or Photoshop Tutorials.
More information coming soon.
The Real Alice's bear shop - 11:23 am on November 14 2005
I've just finished work on what's possibly one of the biggest jobs ive taken part in so far; titled The Real Alices Bear Shop.
" The Real Alice's Bear Shop is situated in Lyme Regis, Dorset, a pretty little town on the English south coast that served as the backdrop for the film 'The French Lieutenant's Woman' "
The real alices bear shop is a full eCommerce website selling various teddy bears and collectors items.
The website has many great features all editable via a complex CMS system.
I was given the responsibility to program many great features to the website, such as free delivery on selected products, as well as a complete members section to which you receive 10% off selected products once signed up.
The website is also soon to be featured on a BBC documentary.
Hot-Tutorials.com launched - 03:10 pm on October 10 2005
If your currently running a website which hosts tutorials and looking for more traffic, then may I be so kind as to ask you to submit them to Hot-Tutorials.com
The Story goes: I've been kinda busy over the past few months; brushing up on my PHP/MySQL knowledge (not to mention working very hard at my new job!)
I've got three websites in the making, one of which is the above Hot-Tutorials.com tutorial submission site. The main agenda behind the website? Not to make money through ads, but because I actually enjoy making dynamic websites and watching them work.
The site still has alittle backend work to go, and is at present still being kept relatively quiet...
Whilst I can appreciate and understand that it will take a grea deal of time and effort to get Hot-Tutorials.com off the ground and onto it's own two feet, im prepared to work at it and hopefully put it up there amoungst the other great tutorial databases out there.
